Farasis Energy's Management Team

Dr. Yu Wang, Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Wang has over 15 years of experience working in the lithium ion battery industry. He has held a number of key development and management positions at two of the major Li-ion battery manufacturers in North America, NEC Moli Energy and PolyStor Corporation where he was Director of R&D and Chief Cell Designer. Dr. Wang brings extensive expertise and experience in the large-scale production, commercialization, marketing and sales of successful Li-ion battery products.

Dr. Keith D. Kepler, Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Kepler has worked in the research and development of lithium ion battery materials and systems for the past 15 years. Prior to Farasis, Dr. Kepler was on the staff of the Battery Development Group at Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) before joining Polystor Corporation to become the Director of Advanced R&D. He has worked as a consultant to the US Advanced Battery Consortium (USABC) and the Department of Energy (DOE) on electric vehicle related battery issues.

Mr. John Hackenberg, MBA, VP of Business Development
Mr. Hackenberg has over 20 years of battery related experience in both start-upand production environments with a variety of technologies. While with Motorola for nearly 10 years, he managed battery pack and charger development groups. More recently, he has held senior business management roles with Li-ion battery companies including start-ups PolyStor and Ener1.

Mr. Robert Tan, MS. Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Tan has held a number of key executive management positions during his 20+ years professional career. Prior to joining Farasis, he was President of Tekwell, Inc. a sole exclusive distributor of Toshiba primary batteries and consumer electronic products for the US market. He also held the position of VP of Finance for Imacon, Inc. a Danish high-end scanner company, and was Controller for a Global Sales Marketing Co.

Dr. Yiqun Yang, Chief Operations Officer of China Operations
Dr. Yang has over 20 years experience in the investment banking field. He has been involved in financing, restructuring and managing more than 20 publicly listed companies in China over the past twenty years. Prior to joining Farasis, he worked as the President of Kaidi Holding Investment Co. Ltd.

Dr. Weigong Zheng, VP of Production of China Operations
Dr. Zheng has over 10 years experience in Li ion battery R&D and cell production. Before joining Farasis, he was the General Manager and Chief Technology Officer of HYB Battery Co., one of the leading Li ion battery manufacturers in China.
